so I bought a BC29g and I want to know if anyone knows if they make they bulbs in a higher wattage? I'm not quite ready to switch to MH's and would like to try the stok lights for now or upgrade to a higher watt if they make them. The place I got it had one setup and they were using the stcok light and several things in there. Like mushrooms, frogspawn and even a clam, but it was close to the top. I've heard everyone say that the stock lighting isn't enough, but they were making it work. everything was open and colorful. Am I just missing something?

There are certain types of corals that you can keep in your Bio Cube. I have zoos, mushrooms, finger leather, toadstool and green star polyps in mine. You just need to be careful and don't add anything that needs strong lighting. So far my LFS has been pretty good about telling me the stuff I can't have. I tried an anenome but it didn't make it. I don't know exactly what happened. I am not convinced that it was the light though. The best advice I can give is to ask questions here about the specific thing you are thinking about putting in the tank and you will usually get pretty straight answers.
Good Luck

There is a website that sells upgraded factory fit hoods with mh or higher watt pcs to fit the biocubes. Search these forums fro biocubes and you can find it.

thanks, I found one and made a new post about the mods. Forgive all my posts. I am fairly new to this hobby and want to make the right choices.
