first off, Michigan didn't "barely" lose to Ohio State.....Ohio State led by 10 points for the good majority of that game and Michigan scored one last TD with a few minutes left to make the game look like it was close. the fact is that Ohio State marched up and down the field on Michigan all day long. Michigan gave up 41 points to Ohio State, and championship caliber teams don't give up 41 points to anybody. also, Ohio State gave up 38 points, and if they give 38 points to ANY SEC team, they WILL lose.
secondly, I watched the entire Florida/Auburn game (Florida's one loss). and if you watched that game, you'll know that the main reason Florida lost was because Leak had an incomplete pass that was ruled a fumble, inside Auburn's 15 yard line. replay showed it was NOT a fumble, but Florida lost the ball. if not for that one bad call by the refs, Florida wins that game and are undefeated right now. and there's no question that Florida had the tougher schedule. if I'm not mistaken, 10 of the 12 teams Florida played are going to bowl games.
now, I'm a South Carolina Gamecock (you know, one of the ones with a degree from there, like the Florida guy). and I'm proud to say that my team came within a blocked FG of keeping Florida out of the National championship game. in fact, the guy that blocked that kick (he actually bloced 3 in the game) had just tested positive for cocaine the day before and should have been suspended. but Urban Myth played him against us and suspended him for the West Carolina game. not too honest or classy.
but Florida can have the Myth and the NC game, but we got SPURRIER
, so I'm happy for this year.
