Beach Sand

Ill be going to Bermuda soon(cruise) and was wondering if I can add that pink sand to my tank( after washing) when I get back. Or if i could buy it local.Thanks

You can do ANYTHING you want to, but if you're asking if it's advisable I'd have to say no.
How big is your tank and how are you planning to haul a bunch of beach sand from Bermuda back to Staten Island ?
If it was my tank I would not use any beach sand from any beach.

You have no idea what is in the sand. Not adviseable.

depends on the type of sand it is aragonite would be great but silica not so. as far as life on the sand depends if its in the water or up on the beach either case give it a couple weaks (call it curing or whatever)before you put it in your tank! if it was me i would do it but i would (cure) it for a month or more. free is free we dont get to much for free now do we!!!
