doodle, sweet in-wall tank. my $0.02: go with a plain blue or black background though. it'll make things stand out more.

Well i guess this can be my before shot since the tank is new. I am planning on adding some feather dusters and hairy mushrooms in hopes that the shrooms will take over the tank. Don't want to go full reef on this one but do want something more appealing than rock in the tank. Its a 20L by the way

is that the (lily pad like) caleurpa on the right of your tank?
man, that's gonna spread like a mutha... check out my tank. after a few weeks I gotta trim it down for like 45 min and I still don't get all of it.

Yes it is and I know how fast it spreads. But since this isn't a full reef I want it for color in the low light areas of the tank and also need it since I will have no skimmer to remove the nitrates. I know that I am going to have to trim it, and I'm ok with that.

I'd like to know what you use for lighting?

Sure, 6 110w VHO. They are all URI. I have 2 Super Actinic, 2 Actinic White, and 2 AquaSuns. (and also a blue rope light for night viewing but that certainly isn't visible in these pictures). The bulbs were changes just over a month ago.
If you wanted to know why it is pink in color, I don't really know. Sometimes I'm happy with it, other times I wish it was more "normal." However, the lighting itself isn't pink, only after it reflects off of my rock and corals does it look pink. I think it is my coraline algae, and high number of pink or brown corals that give the tank its pink tint.
