Yes i have mh, 650 watts of mh and 130 watts of pcs. i just can't get them adjusted to eliminate some shadowing.
As far as the sand goes, i have 2-1" pvc pipes going behind the rocks along the back of the tank blowing to the front through the rocks. since i moved the rocks around, it did create some sand movement. I don't like it but can't do anything about it, its a DSB obviously and don't want to disturb it anymore than i have to.
I was referring to the white rock. I guess I am used to seeing live rock sold at my LFS store with a lot of corraline growth already on them. I wouldn't change the setup to "fix" the sand gullys. I have had some due to fish a pistol shrimp and I leave them. I don't know, sometimes I find it more natural. I run a DSB also, so I also don't want to mess with it too much. Anyway, the tank is looking great.
And some of my suggestions:
Bullseye mushrooms
Montipora
Blastos
Acan lords
Toadstool
Trumpet coral
Oxypora
Brains
...
I'm biased becasue those are some of the things (except blastos) in my tank.
