I'd almost agree but the Nuggets may actually have enough shots for the both of them. Outside of Smith, they really have noone who needs/wants to shoot the ball. I'd guess that almost every shot taken will be from Melo or AI except for some 3's by Smith and a few post shots by Camby/Najera. Melo and AI still may be able to get 20 shots a game each.
Will definitely be interesting to see how it unfolds. Very rarely have two 30ppg potential scorers been on the same team. I'm a Melo guy so I only want whats best for him and if he is ever gonna be considered with Wade and Lebron he needs to win in the playoffs and Iverson should give him the best chance he's had in Denver so far.

Melo's shot is a little rusty but the "new" Nuggets are looking pretty good so far(granted against the worst in the West).
Melo and AI are on pace to each get their shots and points with the rest of the team letting them take most of the shots. They seem to have a decent rythym together and when Blake is running the point with both of them and Camby on the floor, they actually look like a pretty dangerous offense. Maybe this will work

No, beating Memphis sure isnt anything to brag about but it was nice to see that at least for 1 game they could find enough shots for the 2 of them. Not that they will win against better teams but they should still hopefully be able to get enough shots each even against better teams using the same approach they did tonight: let Melo and AI take the majority of shots and let the role players play their roles.
Getting Blake was a good move, he shoots much less and passes much more than Boykins. Boykins is a better player, imo, but for Denver Blake is a better fit now.

Not enought ball for Denver and i dont think Iverson will ever concede to be second best on a team. Denver is a bunch of wanna be "Thug" team, along with Iverson, Camby, Martin and now Melo, whos image is now permanantly ruined. Time will tell to see if they coherse. GO HEAT!

We'll see. AI has now publicly said that it is Melo's team and he wants Melo to win the scoring title. Hard to believe and i'm certainly taking that with a grain of salt. But and its a REALLY big but, if AI actually means that and recognizes the good situation they have and doesnt cause problems, the Nuggets could maybe make a run at the West next year if they add 1 or 2 decent bench players and get Martin healthy.
With Ai, Melo, smith and camby they have a pretty good core. If only they hadnt wasted that 130 million on Nene and Kenyon

I think I will wait till after Fridays game to comment anymore on the Nuggets. I Have lived in Denver all my life so you have to give them some credit. This is the first time I can say we have somewhat of a chance since the 80s.
"Wanna be thugs"? Come on...I think your a little scared, they just might pull this off.
Looking forward to Fridays game, I have faith after Friday it will be our six win in a row!

What against the Jazz? The Jazz have deteriorated imenseley since the beginning of the season so that is no test! And as far as me "Being Scared"? Me personally I am definately not! Because they will never ever make it out of the west, being maybe the 5th or 6th best team, behind the Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Lakers w/odom, and even UTAH. The Nuggets have no heart ONLY controversy.
