berlin 250 help

I bought a berlin 250 used, that I have the pump and the return in the sump. When I turn it on a heavy mist of bubbles comes out of the returns of the sump to the main tank. I noticed that the skimmer fills up with water and then empties out of the proper tube, but there is no tornado and it burps. My guess is that the pump isn't strong enough. Any comments will help. Thanx.

Turn the nob and lower the amount of air that you let in the skimmer. This will also increase its flow. Its takes time and patience to get it just right.

It does this regardless of them being open all the way or closed all the way. That was the first thing I checked. Could there be something missing?

Have you checked the venturi to make sure it isn't clogged. Also what type of pump are you running it with?
