my berlin is producing so much dry foam that it pushes the cover half way off, do this mean that is cant keep up with my tank

My hang on does the same thing sometimes. Usually whae the collection cup and lid get crudded up. I clean my cup and lid about every other day due to build up. And it works so much better when its clean.
