What pump are you using to run your Nautilus TE? I use one and always get a good dark skimmate. I use a Mag7.

I use a rio pump, I am not sure which one exactly though. Are you saying I should try a different pump before buying a new one?

It's hard to say if you should try a different pump if I don't know how many gph your current pump is. The closer your gph is to 700 or 800 gph the more efficient the nautilus will be.
XHappyX look into an ocean runner 2700 this pump has a needlewheel impeller supposed to be a good pump.
Good luck.

i have the berlin turbo classic... my guess is it came with a rio pump... i get an ok amount out of my skimmer.. but i do think i should be pulling out more that's why i'm thinking maybe using a mag instead of the rio... i do have a mag 7 laying around that's why i ask

I agree...I'd try the Ocean Runner pump on the Kent before switching skimmers..

I have one of those Berlin skimmers sitting in my garage that I'm not using anymore. It worked great with a Mag 9 pump. I have some pictures of it in action.
I bought an ASM G4 for my new 150 gallon setup, so the Berlin went into retirement.

With an adjustable plastic air valve on the intake end. One of the ones where you simply turn it clockwise or counter clockwise to open or close it.

I did not like this skimmer at all.
I would recommend a Euro-Reef,ASM,Deltec,or Aqua-C.
