Berlin Turbo

Any thoughts on a Berlin Turbo????
Is it loud??

If you use the RIO pump that some of them come with, it will be a little loud.
Lots of old threads on this board about this skimmer if you search.
I think LORDOFTHEREEF was selling one last week too still in the box for $150.

i never seen a berlin with a rio pump before. all i seen was the red sea pump they come with, and mine can't be heard. as for the one for sale, not no more. i traded it for a coralife two lamp vho ballast with end caps. brand new off the shelf.

When you buy a Berlin Turbo protein skimmer it comes with a power head to run it and it is not a rio. A rio will not work on the turbo only the turbo pump will work.

oops! sorry fellas, i was thinking of this thread i read in feb. but it turns out it was the HOB model, if this guy was right...
I'm gonna purchase a protein skimmer soon but I read somewhere that it's better to use your own pump. I think the HOB Berlin Turbo comes with a Rio 2100 or you can get it without, in which case, I have a Mag 7 that I could use. Is it the Rio 2100 that makes it a "Turbo" skimmer?
Should I buy the skimmer with the pump or without?

I've got the Berlin Turbo Hang-on and love it. You can hear it run, but it is not annoying nor loud. It works wonders on my 125.
