Who else has an Emperor in their reef tank?? Im looking into purchasing a juvi, and know they can be iffy with reefs. Anyone else w/ experience?? Secrets to success or failure??

well the biggest thing is that the dont harass your shrimps and fish. in a small tank that they run into the same specimens over and over like in a tank under 100 gallons. in a 180 tank i woudl say you should be fine. go for it IMO.

Im refering more to corals and nipping. I have an assortment of LPS and a cpl of SPS. I know they can be monitered with SPS, but have a tendency to nip the LPS and wondering if someone has experience with them & corals.

My emp nips at everything. I tried keeping some shrooms in the tank with him for a while, but between him and the red general starfish, they didn't last long. My emp angel is always grazing for food. So if he finds something with a little give, he'll pick it forever. Then again, that's just my fish.
