Best activated carbon?

I just bought some Marine Labs Black Diamond premium activated carbon and didnt know if this was ok to use for my tank. I have never used carbon until I got my nanocube for christmas and it has been a little over a month since it has been set up... so I guess its time to change carbon. I bought the reusable bags for carbon and this. I figured I'd ask before actaully using it if this was ok or if another brand is better?

Ive used Kent Reef Carbon. Worked great. The black diamond is just as good. I only run carbon for 1 week every month just to polish up the water a bit. I never run it 24/7.

is it bad to run carbon all the time?
i am adding a protien skimmer to my set up in addition to my filter box....should i put something other tahn carbon in my filter?

I run my carbon all the time I think after a while it loses its stength I have never noticed any dif. with any of the brands I tried.

should i take it out and only add 1 chamber of carbon once weekly

Half of the people here say they run it 24/7. (I do, and I use Black Diamond.)
Half say they don't run it at all.
Half say they run it "occasionally" to "polish" the water.
Half say they run it when the moon is waning.
Half only run it when the moon is full.
Half are lying!
