I don't trust salifert at the moment for calcium and alk-- not sure about their magnesium test kits, but does anyone know of any accurate test kits?
they dont all have to be 1 brand, it could be a different brand for each one. i just need to look for something that's accurate, mainly magnesium and calcium for right now
any help would be great

i am looking for a good magnesium kit as well. I used to use sailfert, but feel the same way you do right now. I started using tropic marin for nitrates, calcium, and alk, and i like them so far.

Why don't you trust Salifert? Everything I've read led me to believe they are the most accurate (and therefore just bought one!). Not true?

I'm lookin' at seachem! I have their calcium test, my first one, and it seems alright.

i had some issuses with salifert alk kits, they were way off...then i got the reference solution that was off as well ( had expired!!) i got a Lomotte kit , a bit pricey but very easy to use. so far so good!

They are one of the better brands, but they had a bad batch of alkalinity kits that was distributed.

not only that, but some people have been complaining about the calcium test kits now too.
for now i use API for alk, havent had a problem with it and tells me when my clams are depleting the alk.
had a problem with elos so im going to get another test kit from them, but for now, ill probably go back to using API for calcium. its just crazy how so many companies are having problems with test kits now.
i bought magnesium from elos, but im going to look into the salifert magnesium test kit whenever they get back in order
