I'm in NYC. What's the best aquarium to visit? I'm mostly just interested in sweet saltwater fish displays.

Nothing really good in NYC. If you are able, in Riverhead on Long Island, about 1 hour, 20 minutes east of the city is Atlantis Marine World.

Yup.

Honestly, I've seen better displays in some LFS. The only thing worth seeing is the big open-topped tank, and that's just based on scale, not inhabitants.
Oh, if you do decide to go down to the NY Aquarium, take the train. The parking nightmare alone makes it not worth it.

Thanks for the info. Given this info, we did not visit an aquarium. I looked at a map of the NYC aquarium but it was very diverse (seals, penguins etc...) and the reef/fish section looked small. Thanks again.
