Ok, I want to hear everyone's valued opinions
on the best brand of salt.
I have a 55 reef right now, and use oceanic. I'll need more soon, so I am wanting to know what everyone really likes! And also what is the difference between reef salt and 'regular' salt..........
Thanks! Kelli

I use Oceanic as well and I have to use a DKH buffer. Very high in calcium and dissolves very well when mixing.

I am no reefer, but I believe the difference in a reef salt and "regular" is all in the trace elements. Higher counts in the reef stuff.

Was using Reef crystals. Great Stuff. It became a bear to get in my area. Now I use Oceanic. I like how easy it dissolves. But I now add stuff to it for my reef. (I know I dont have too but I do) I personally add Magizum, Stronium, Iron, Iodide. Everyone in the tank hasnt hiccuped so I guess they happy. I did notice when I stated adding the iodide and the Iron my watermellon zoa's went NUTS. Went from 15 heads to about 40 in 2 weeks.

Tropic marin pro reef. I only have a 29 gal so the price doesn't bother me much. It lasts a long time.
That's what I hear. Supposed to be the best. I am looking toward finding some myself.

Red Sea Coral Pro !!! I used to use Reef Crystals and had to add calcium and alk supplements, I switched to the Red Sea and I have had great results with it, the Red Sea Coral Pro salt does not dissolve as quickly as the Reef Crystals when you are mixing new salt water, but I let mine mix with a power head for a while before I do a water change anyway.

Tropic marin pro reef. I switched to a different salt and I really bad results. I love this stuff, everything was doing well until the change.
