Marineland saltwater mixer/dispenser? Never seen or heard of such a thing.
Does it actually mix your water for you? Do you have 2 seperate storage compartments - 1 for salt, the other water and it does the rest? I'm curious, that sounds like the ultimate lazy saltwater entheusiast's tool.

it's actually a commercial unit, you add rodi water, salt mix, hit a switch, and you're in business, mixes, dispenses, etc. perfect for my lazy azzz

The way I'm reading it you add all the stuff and basically it's just a mixing station with a fancy nozzle????

yeah, you add water and salt mix, it mixes, aerates, adjust temp, and stores saltwater, so it's ready when you need it, it's out in my garage, it's a big as a refrigerator.

it's overkill i know, but if you can pick one up for a good deal like i did, it makes changing water, actually kinda fun, i'm going to hook up my typhoon III to it and and plumb it to my drain, so it will be pretty automatic.

Was it worth it? I guess I could just ask "how much did it cost". If I had somewhere along the lines of 300 gallons or so, i'm sure it'd be worth it. But for my current 55 gallon......hell it probably cost as much as my whole set-up.
That's nifty though......"think I need a water change......*drain 20 gal, fill 20 gal.......that was easy". None of that "add 1 cup per 1 gallon water mix until completely dissolved, test salinity, adjust......test water parameters, adjust.....heat water, test....then add". I bet you could (or already do) have it plumbed to a spigot directly above the sump. You wouldn't even need a fleet of 5 gallon buckets then.

That does sound cool...
Best purchase I made? Drilled tank I think. I liked my 210, but a 180 reef ready with a in stand 100gl sump/refugium seems to work a lot better.

No matter what the cost is on the mixing station unless free isn't worth it regardless what size tank you have.....A nice mixing station could be done alot cheaper with 2 Rubbermaid containers and bulkheads and some valves......

It's no hate here, just not worth it IMO, and trust me I don't have issues with spending on a tank.....Review my build thread and you'll see spending isn't and issue.....

acrylic, i asked you a question above this thread, i'm not sure why you didn't help me with that, instead you posted on this thread, about how i got scrwed when i could have done a diy project for cheaper. i'm fully aware that i could have done that, but i chose to go a different route, it's not always about saving money with me. anyway, nevermind. thanks anyway

Sorry I didn't answer your question, but I don't pay real particular attention as to who asks me what and remember everything.....As a matter of fact I did reply to your question about the Parts List on the other thread.....You said you recieved it today and it was damaged and now you want the parts list......I responded in the thread "that I don't remmber the thread name, but you could email me and I'd shoot you a copy of the parts list.......I'd like to know where I posted you got screwed??? Can't seem to remember saying anything of the sort.....I do remember us debating the price of the compact vs the Typhoon III, and the add ons drove the price up and I made the comment, that most people aren't to thrilled about purchasing something brand new and immediately hacking lines apart to upgrade it when they can purchase a unit already with the upgrades done from factory!!!!!!!
