Best closed loop external pump?

I'm looking for an external closed loop pump for a 110g show tank. SPS dominated. I'm looking for something that doesn't use a lot of electricity and is very quiet. I'm guessing it should be in the 2500-3200 gph range or better?
I'm looking at reeflo now, but was wondering if there is anything else that I should be looking at.

Reeflo dart is 3800gph for under 300$. It's 1/8th horse. I don't know how many amps or watts that would be or even if it would consume a lot of electricity.
3800/110=~34 times turnover rate. Coupled with an mp40, that would be a pretty good flow rate for SPS corals, I think. In a tall tank, I think it would work.

Thats what i used on my closed loop on my 110 reef with an Ocean Motion.... do they still make those? it worked well but it was kinda loud i didn't use any other power head other than the closed loop and it was enough for SPS....

I know of no glass tanks larger than 55 that doesn't have a tempered bottom. There's always an exception but I would count on it being tempered.
Dolphin makes the Amp Master models. They may be too much for what you need though. They are certainly not cheap.
Just me sure NOT to get any pressure rated models. Closed loops have very little back pressure so a pressure rated pump is just going to waste energy.

I'm a big fan of the reeflo pumps (formerly sequence). I run a baracuda (4300 gph) and a snapper (2400) on my 475. I LOVE them, they are pretty quiet, MINIMAL heat transfer, and just turn & turn. I even bought spares of each in case one needs a motor overhaul someday. Pump reseal kits are like 40 - though I've never used one yet. The motors they use are US made - so about any local AC motor repair place could repair/overhaul one for under 100 bucks.
I give them an A+

Ok, ok, I won't drill the bottom. :(
Thanks for the heads up on pressure rated pumps. I'm thinking about going with a snapper/dart combo.

Who is telling you not to drill the bottom? I didn't see that anywhere. Mine had a built in overflow so it was already drilled and thus the bottom was tempered.

It is possible to drill a tempered bottom. It is very risky and I would not expect 100% success. It can be done though. Personally, I wouldn't take the risk.
The commercial tanks that have built-in overflows predrilled were tempered AFTER the glass was drilled.

Lubeck the tank if it has a tempered bottom the tank was drilled before the glass was tempered.......
As far as a CL pump....Reeflo.....Dolphins/Ampmasters are infamous for leaking......
