best damsel?

what is the best damsel as far as temperment goes? i heard the chromis is somewhat peaceful.

What worked best for me was the Blue Fin Damsel and the Domino Damsel. They are good, hardy fish. I still have mine after several months! Hope this helps!

But i heard Yellow are suppose to be peaceful too.

i got 2 3 stripped damsels and they dont do anything..they stay in the coral i have and they only come out to eat..i had them from the begining and only one died, there pretty good fish, i havnt had a problem with them yet...w/e you wanna do

Yeh most chromis are peaceful. They stay up high in the water and dont bother anything except each other unless there are eggs but they just chase of but dont hurt. Be carefull when talking about damsells be cause clowns, cromis and the so called damsells are all damsells you need to give better or proper names when talking about damsell because many are mean any many are not and they look a lot a like and have similar words in there names. and what you want from them as well like for hardiness or for size or for temperment like when someone says dominos are good damsels, well they could be right or they could be wrong, please, thank you ...D.

Damels may be docile initially, but they will become evil in time. Then, like me, you can't remove the little "sob's" from your tank!

i have 3 damsels, a blue, a yellow, and a 3 striped. blue and yellow damsels are peaceful, the 3 striped damsel, well his name is bull... i think you get the picture. he is very territorial. if you are getting damsels, add them to the tank last! that's my best suggestion for you (if only i had known that before i added mine). great fish though, very hardy and long living.

a dead damsel...lol just joking. I have a blue velvet damsel that only does laps in the tank non-stop I think he is tryin out for the olympics or something. He doesnt have time to be mean

I have two percula clowns, two yellow damsels and one yellow tail. All have been very peaceful. But, I also don't have any fish that would care if they are being chased. You have to look at what other fish you want to put with your damsels. They aren't really "devils," they are territorial and love to chase things. This activity can stress and kill some fish that are sensitive. So, when you ask about temperment, that is what the temperment of a damsel entails.

Chromis like to be with other chromis and are less likely to chase other fish.
