I got a blood red and neon green large 5" lobo for $15.00, a tiger striped scoly for $20.00, a beautiful pylei wrasse for $15.00 and a 7 headed bright orange dendrophylia for $75.00. The dendro is the big heads not the small ones. I think thats about it for me. Very nice stuff and all are still alive and doing well.

i got a coral from "that fish place" for 49.99, that was labeled a scolymia. i believe it's a super rare acan gigantica. you don't see these things anywhere. it started out as 1.5 mouths/heads, and is now over 5. scolymia don't reproduce like that.
it resembles an acan echinata colony, but the heads are about the size of a plum.
the color is orange and maroon. very sharp.
it also eats meaty foods like there's no tomorrow!
heres some old pics to give you an idea....
top down(sorry about the ripples in the water)

eating(looks like an acan, don't it!)-

a frag of it-

Mr_X, would it be possible thats some species of acan? Maybe retundoflora (spelled that horribly). I agree the large polyp looks like a scoly. Either way, you better lemme know when youre selling frags ;)

it is possible, and i believe it's more likely than the possibility that it's a scolymia. mainly because if it's reproductive habits. or maybe it's a rare type of scolymia that spreads like an acan. either way, it's crazy cool.

I got a 65G reef ready with all plumbing, stand, wet/dry (with a built in skimmer) and a 96W coralife PC light FOR FREE. A buddy was moving and did not want to take it. I had to empty it and clean it. It was very neglected and a mess, but looks good after a lot of cleaning. I am refinishing the oak stand now.
The same guy that gave me the tank got a mystery wrasse for $15. They guy at the store did not know what it was and gave him three wrasses for $45. That same store had a Naso on hold for $23, all other LFS want at least $89.
