Alright, so I have a VERY YOUNG sw tank and I really want a goby. My tank finished it's cycle about two weeks ago, and I have yet to add any fish. I plan on getting two false percs, but I really want some sort of a goby.... so bad !! I was wondering what I could get, and how long I should wait to get it. BTW, I have a 55g dt with a 29g sump, about 18lbs lr, and a 2 1/2 " sand bed. Thanks !

Gobies that would be good is:
clown goby
firefish goby
Neon goby
Try to stay away from the sandsifting gobies since ur sandbed is not fully grown as well as no mandrins until a year imo
same with shrimp gobies give it a while till ur sandbed matures
happy saltwater fishing

A very overlooked goby is the Bar Goby. I got one at my LFS for 20 bucks. He hid for about a week and now he is a blast to watch. He will burrow in the sand until only his head is out. They look plain until you get them under decent lighting. I highly recommend the Bar goby, ill never get rid of him.

they have blue noses, bright red gills, and pink stripes down there body. Cool fish. Does anyone know if 2 gobies can share the same tank?

I have a Yellow Watchman Goby, pretty vibrant yellow with blue dots on the cheeks.
I also have a firefish, but find he hides alot.
