I was wondering what you guys think about a HangOnTank skimmer for a 75. I was thinking about an AquaC remora or remora pro skimmer. What would you guys reccemend?

The Red Sea (Prism Pro???) works pretty good. I have some problems with the air intake clogging with calcium deposits, but if I kept up with my routine maintenance schedule, that probably wouldn't be a problem. Its not too noisy, and is fairly compact, and does a stand up job.

from what I've heard the prizm's are kinda low end and I dont' wanna get the bakpak because I don't really wanna spend extra for the bio filtration that the bakpak adds, I think my money would be better spent buying a skimmer only unit,

I dont know I just think that the remora seems to be a beefier skimmer, does anyone have experience with both of these, anyone have experience with the berlin classic HOT either, I heard its kinda inefficient thoght but I"m not sure

Life Reef makes some great HOT skimmers. I was hoping that the new ETSS hang ons would be good, but from the looks of them I don't have much confidence.

ok well the lifereef HOT is like $350 so thats way out of range. anyone used a remora or remora pro by AquaC, about $230 is my limit

I have the remora pro...I've had it for about 2 weeks and it rocks...I would definetly recommend it...its on my 60g...in two weeks its pulled out a bunch of crap...if you get it make sure that you get the prefilter box...it takes out those microbubbles that are so anoying....I got mine with the remora 1400 for 210$...the mag pump seemed too bulky...A+++
