Best nano tank evah!

do you have a sump?! because youve got 4 fish, tons of inverts, and a heck of a lot of corals for a 10 gallon!! it just seems odd how you could have good levels with all those animals.....

No I do not have a sump. I do one gallon water changes a month and with a more natural reef like I have, the macros consume some of the materials. I have to say even before the macros I didnt have high nitrates. I cant even get a reading....

What corals have you had die. The key is to use RO/DI water and do water changes once a week of about 2 gallons (for your tank).
Do you use a skimmer? Your tank looks awesome I'm working a on 15 gallon myself but none of the coral seem to survive in the tank so far. But I"m gonna be upgrading my lights to VHO and probably throw in a 70watt MH.

I do water change every week and I use RO/DI water only. 5% change every week well its not really establish tank yet so its only been 1 month. Also I need better lights so maybe I'll wait till a little longer before adding the corals. So you don't use a skimmer on yours just water change.

Well, having an established tank and taking it slow is what will get you there. I have killed more corals and animals then I have now as the above pics reflect. Its a shame as when I started this tank the message boards were hard to come by and store had no idea of how to maintain a nano tank.

You're tank looks awesome. It has a great realistic feel to it, just like you're looking at a section of the reef. I was going to say wow, those are some big clowns before I saw that it was a 10 gallon. Can't believe you have 200+ watts on a 10, but that's probably why all the corals look so healthy and grown into eachother. The pic of the anemone crab is one of the coolest I've seen on the site. The puffer is equally cool, can you tell us about your experience with it?

Just curious what you use for calcium? When I had my 20gal sps tank, keeping up with coral growth was rather difficult. I dripped full strength kalk for topoff and had to use b-ionic daily to keep my levels stable. Do you have similar troubles?

Oh and do a search for Brooklyjohnny's 10 gal nano. Kind of similar in set up but I think you'll enjoy the post. Towards the end of his tank, growth was so high that he could not keep up with calcium uptake without causing too high of a rise in pH.

I remember Johnnyboy. He had a great tank. I just use kalk to maintain everything...
Well I have moved which means I had to tear down the tank and build it again. I tried to get it looking similar, but yet it is still different. It was moved with dsb and bristle worms intact.
Now I am slowly watching my sps rtn.
Its sad...
