best present you got as a kid.

I'd have to say my favorite presents were fishing poles, and knifes, slingshots, and a kelty tent. I love that thing. Dang I sound like a red kneck.

Best inadvertent present was back when I was 19 my parents got me an alarm system for my truck because I had just spent about $500 on a new stereo system. About 2 weeks later the truck got broken into and the alarm never went off. My dad and I went to the store that installed the alarm and raised hell and they ended up installing about 3K worth of new stereo equipment for me for free

Best one I thought I would get, but did not: Table Top Hockey game
I had discovered where santa hide the presents years before in my home in the attic and saw an awesome table top hockey game that was surely for me. Christmas day...No hockey set......Turns out santa had hidden the neighbor's Christmas presents in my parent's attic and mine were in the neighbor's attic.
Santa got me..what could I say....I saw the 'hockey set', where is it?

I am sure Eric, my neighbor's child, got many happy years playing hockey

I still have the emotional scars today. Eric and I never got along so I never got to use it, creating a larger emotional scar. (That was cathartic..I may need to turn in my 'man card' after admitting that
)

Best present for me, by far, was my first horse Annie. She was my best friend. Beautiful paint horse with marbled eyes. I could do anything with her. She was so calm. She even let me put my son on her back when he was 3 months old and never once budged. She never bucked or got mean. I miss her.

Ahh, so that's where the SN comes from.
Did you have the bubble type, or the older type where you had to lift it up and get the 'puck' out when you scored.
I was going to say the GI Joe Blackbird plane, but after two 7.5' GI Joe toys got pulled out in the first three posts, I'm feeling lacking.
I guess I'll go with a Lego castle back in the day, before they had licensing agreements with every film, video game, or TV series.

Frogger....
I love that game. I use to play it at the skating rink...We are old aren't we...

Wow! I remember the year my brother and I got a Atari. That was cool. The skating rink? Those were the best times. I was on the skate team at my local rink and I got a pair of Rydell speed skates with Zinger wheels one Christmas....Sweet!
When I was 5 (when I still believed in Santa) I got a Rub-a-dub dolly. You could put her in the bath tub with you. That was a cool memory.
