best reef trigger

what is the best trigger suited for a reef. i did some research and its between the pinktail, blue throat, and the niger. i have read the niger eats alot of inverts. the blue throat and the pinktail are a little more invert friendly. i know that no trigger is invert safe but the pinktail and the blue throat are a little more invert safe but when they get hungry they might dispatch a hermit here or there. so what do you think pinktail or blue throat.

I've seen it done with people getting the niger trigger when they are small and raising them with bigger cleaner shrimp and the other fish. Have plenty of food. Make it the last fish you add to the tank. Personally couldn't feel safe ever going out of town with one.

Out of those three, I'd go with the blue throat.
However, I think the Crosshatch trigger is the ultimate reef trigger!

I have a 3 inch niger with 1 cb shrimp 1 pep shrimp and lots of hermits and snails i he actually lets the cb shrimp clean him and i have only caught him eating 1 or 2 hermits never a snail imo this is a very small price to pay for having such abeautiful and interesting fish by the way i feed him silversides every morn and regular feedings at night (KEEP HIM HAPPY AND FULL)

I had a pinktail for about 6 months. Never had a problem with him, he was my cleaners favorite buddy. He was always on him, cleaning inside his mouth and everything. He was really mellow and I hand fed him shrimp. He was my favorite fish, but my boyfriend left a lid up and he commited suicide while I was at work. He was crusted to my carpet when I got home. In any case, I highly recommend the pinktail!!

My Pinktail Loves inverts, snails, shrimps or crabs, hes not picky, they would not last 5 seconds in my tank. Out of those Three, I would say Bluethroat...

What would the min tank requirement be for the blue throat and pink tail?

75 to 100 depends on other fish and how much rock i.e swimming space

I would suggest the pinktail, niger, or bluethroat. Those are the ones I have seen to work mabye others.

The best hands down Reef trigger is a Crosshatch Male trigger.
These are gorgeous and will not harm your coral.
