Best salt for reef

I currently use Instant Ocean and Im thinking about switching to a better salt because of stuff ive read about instant ocean not being reef grade. Which salt would be best to use and what are the advatages of using that brand? Thanks...........

oceanic, or aquacraft's marine enviroment or bio sea. instant ocean is a cheap salt that relies on past reputaion for todays livesock needs. imo
search the web for the S-15 report also there is more big online vendors conducting testing on salts which will show results in the near future. it costs thousands of dollars to do.
and after all that hype they started carrying oceanic and marine enviroment, bio sea.

I went to my LFS the other day, they had 200gallon buckets of oceanic salt for "$34.99"! :yes:

Yes - use Oceanic - it mixes up easier and has more calcium in it

Harlequinnut is the Lfs Fishtown? I Live by there and need salt or is it aquatic adventures in Glen Cove Li. That sounds like a good price

It is Fishtown, I just bought a bucket today. They said it's a one time special only. Go asap, they have several buckets left!

is that Fishtown on Northern Blvd? i went there yesterday, they have 150gal CoralLife. didn't see Oceanic

I like tropic marin salt. I think it is clean lab grade salt with out the extras.

Are you sure? Not that I don't believe you but I was there on Tuesday the fourth of May at around 7pm and there was still several buckets left. Yes it is the one on Northern Blvd.
