what snails would be the best to clean the sand an have it looking white an nice.

The very best sand cleaner IMO is the sandsifting Goby
Any of them work fantastic. My persoanl favorite is the golden headed sleeper goby. The diamond is most likely the best at it's job.
Snails will clean algea off of rock and glass but not sand.

Snails? Probably the large nassarious snails (they have mini ones that are really too small to do much)
The best overall sand cleaner? umm.. that would be you

The best sand cleaner, assuming you have diatoms/cyano problems in the sand, is stronger water flow to problem areas.
