Which one? The lunchmeat or the ham that I make? I don't eat my ham but twice a year. Easter and Christmas. That's it. The majority of it is consumed by the entire family. I just eat a small slice or two.

I don't cook the crap out of it. lol I put it on my griddle and cook it til it's hot. I love my lunchmeat too much to overkill it.

OH it is! lol It never lasts around here. Then I use the ham bone for beans and make some cornbread.
