I have a 16 gallon tank that I've had for about 6 months now and I am getting brown gross looking alge or something that is constantly growing on it. I was just wondering what is the best way to keep the sand clean?

Do you have a clean up crew? If not, I would start there. If so, maybe It isn't large enough. Please list your water readings and what is in your tank and I'm sure someone may be Will be able to help you.

nassarious snails are good sand sifters and stay pretty small. thats assuming that you already have a clean up crew and all is well with your tank.
