I will be getting my new Dwarf Lion fish this week. After I have done the acclimatizing what is the best way to remove this fish from the bag?

dumping it carefully from the bag into a bucket for acclimation.your lfs may also send it home in a bucket most will. if they dont you may want to have one with you just in case try very hard not have to net this fish.nets can cause damage to fragile fins

bucket!? I never herd of any LFS doing that, very interesting. But yeah i net all my fish out of the bag (being very careful) and then dump it into the tank after acclimating. Just like what unleashed said, becareful of netting the lion, but in most case you should be fine netting him

I use a very good LFS.as for netting in some cases I have had to use also when I netted my large lion once I accually broke one of his beautiful fins,it took about 4 months for it to heal.but it has healed at least.hes a seams to be a little more trusting these days so he doesnt react with thrashing when netted now he just sits still and backs out easily.another option to a net is a small plastic organizer.you know the little baskets that resemble laundry baskets.wash it well with soap and water to remove any chemicals from being made(I used to work in a plastic factory youd be shocked to find out how filthy this stuff is when its shipped out) then a good vingar rinse to remove any soap residue.then its safe for aquarium use.another reefer had a pic of a lion acclimating in a small basket.
