Quinine is not an accepted ich treatment. While malachite green is used as a treatment, it is not effective for ich, and it will turn your water blue/green and permanently discolor the seals in your tank as well as any white pvc that you have.
Qinine is used to treat malaria in humans, which is obviously a parasite. And, some sources suggest using anti-malarial type medications for treating ich and marine velvet. It has more effectiveness with velvet rather than ich. Anyway, even if it were a mircle treatment, I would not put it in my reef tank under any circumstances.
