well.... when i got the fish i got it because it was the healthiest looking one...
it ate well and also did not have any flesh problems.
The areas seem to flap in the current.... like the sloughing problem in one of your pictures.
It doesnt look like HLLE to me.
I went downstairs to view him and he seems to be clearing up... his eye is not as cloudy anymore and the sloughing is disappearing.
I will take a look tomorrow and see whats goin on.

It is definately not brook. He would have been dead already.
The pics are just a tad blurry for me to tell what it is. If the flesh is fapping, could it be that he got his head stuck in an intake?
HLLE would not occur overnight. However, since you have a tang, be sure to add a grounding probe at this point to your tank and any under tank systems that you have.

I dont have any intakes in my aquarium excpet the over flow.... and it is unlikely that he got stck in there.
He does enjoy surfing through the rocks. Could it be rock scratches?
it seems to be gone now.
ill stick to his cyclopeeze/sea weed diet and see if everything is ok.
