One problem with the FAQ that I encountered yesterday - after reading this thread I decided to look up ich in the FAQ since I haven't ever done so. I ended up not only without any info, I ended up off the website! I have no idea why that happened, but if I were someone unfamiliar with this website and urgently needed info about ich this would not be helpful and would also add to their stress.
I think that under diseases and treatments a thread that says "ich" would be much easier and less stressful to find and would also would be the more common sense place to look for the info.

No, YOU haven't made it confusing. You've done a great job explaining it. But, the nature of the hobby is confusing. Not much you can do about that.

You can't, you're right. Having it in one place - and labeled as such - MIGHT make things less overwhelming. That's only a 'might' though LOL
