Better deal or no?

I hope you all will help me with this question. I have begun saving my money to turn my 20 gallon into a nano reef. After pricing things our it is going to cost me about $400 (for filter, powerheads, ect.). Now should I save and do the 20 a reef, OR should I get a 24 gal. Aquapod? It will be four more gallons for corals. I also really like the looks of them compared to the normal boxy tanks. But if i do decide to get one should I get a regular 64 watt one OR a 150 HQI? do these have good water flow? Should I stick with my plan or go for an Aquapod of some kind?

go with the 150watt mh either way imo. I have 64watts over my 12 gallon aquapod and i wouldn't want to try and use that much light over a 24.

Go for the aquapod and use your old tank as a QT!
And I'd go 150w and upgrade the powerhead

Well, I am pretty sure thats the way im going to go...I can use my heater from the other tank...but i'm questioning if i can get a better deal somewheres besides Drs. Foster and Smith. Their price for the Aquapod 150 HQI is $329.99 plus shipping. Is there another place where I can get it cheaper?

Just so you know....The 24 wont actually hold 4 more gallons of water. It will probably hold 20ish. Also, if you have big hands (like me) working in the back of the Bio-Cubes can be a real pain in the behind.

I don't have big hands maybe medium ones. Thanks for the info and tips.
Does anyone know if this is as cheap as I can get it or is there somewheres cheaper?

I will probably have to get it for $329 beacause i'm not going to spend another $200 somtin for the sunpod HQI afterwards. I just hope I can get the money before the sale ends. :)

Ha I wish those Black and Whites were mine! I am setting up a 75 gal this spring and would love to get 1 or maybe a pair. Gotta start saving though!

well due to a lack of funds I am just going to bye the 54 watt 12 gallon aquapod instead and just switch out the lights to give me 64 watt and just stick with some easier corals for now. and upgrade to metal halide later.

That is a REALLY good deal considering I paid 149.99 for my Aquapod and 238.99 for the Sunpod light system.

If you get the 24 gallon Aquapod you can always buy 2 40 watt bulbs to replace the 32watt ones that come with it. The bulbs are only like $17 or $18 each. Then you'd have 3.4 watts/gallon and spend only around $200+ shipping if you get it all from the DrFS website. That's fairly descent for all softies and I've heard for some LPS. Look for Current brand 40w bulbs, square pin and you'll find the ones. Hope that helps.
