better then a MAG 7

What brand pump would be better then a Mag 7? Heard they get hot and are not the best out there.

I heard lotsa things about mag pumps too,but I have used them for several yrs now,as far as running hot,never had a prob. Im not sure if yr using yrs like I am which is submersed...

IMO, as far as sumbersible pumps go, they are one of the better ones out there. There are other players.. Quiet One, etc ...I use mags for all of my submersible applications, and I've never had any problem with them.
In fact, my freshwater planted system has a mag 12 return pump and a mag 9.5 feeding a Co2 Reactor that have been running non-stop for 3 years now with no problems whatsoever.

Thanks all, I'm just looking to buy a pump for the new tank. I see that lots of people like them on here but I saw some people said their were better ones out there. Just wanted to get some ideas before I buy. I think I'll get the mag! Thanks
