Beyond Mad!!

So, I'm walking to my car after class today and notice that it is sitting kinda low. Low and behold, I have 4 flat tires. Someone cut the stems on all 4 of my tires and both of the cars next to mine. I was going to buy a tank on Saturday to start a reef tank, but now my "fun" money will be going to all new tires.

I've been researching so long and getting so pumped and now I have to start saving all over again.

Sorry for the venting, it needed to be done. My dad got the worse of it when I got home, and my insurance company because they won't cover it. I knew they wouldn't anyway.

That sucks dude sorry. One time some stupid girls stuck little rocks in my valve stem caps and flattened my tires. I wasn't aware at the time cause it was such a slow leak. On the way home they blew holes in them and I had to buy all new tires. Oh yeah insurance is a joke but you have to have it. They don't cover anything. Good luck dude. Maybe get some nice used ones they're won't run you too much.

You can just replace the stems. They're $2 each and most places will mount and balance for $10 or less per tire. You should be on the road for less than $50. If there is a Walmart in your area I think they'd charge about $8 per time with the new stem.

If more that one car was done. Did you call the police. Can't you call your insurance company. Wouldn't you comp cover this. When the kids in my apt complex were playing ball in the parking lot they hit my car 4 big dents in the hood , top, truck and side. My comp covered it. didn't cost me a dime. Just needed to get them a police report.

Hope it works out for you. Want size tank were you looking for. If you are in the St. Louis area I might have one.

Yes, I did file a police report and the other two owners of the other vehicles did as well. I ended up going to walmart and they did replace my stems it was only like 60 bucks so no big deal. I thought I would have to buy all new tires. So I can still get my tank. I'm getting a 26 gal bowfront. It will be my first shot at a reef tank and any saltwater tank.

Well that is great news. Good luck on the salt water tank. It is a lot of reading and studing. Aot of testing and watching over it like a newborn baby. The one most important piece of advice I can give anyone. Is take your time. Do not rush it. It is hard to do. the excitement and all. But saltwater has quite a few more things to watch over and go wrong. Take it nice and slow. and in the end it will be worth it.

WOW that does suck about your tires but it was great it just took stems instead of new tires! Hope that luck holds out for your tank. Good Luck and have fun...and I second the take your time.....it's the only way.
