Maybe I got a little out of control. The point I am trying to make is so many inexperienced aquarests try to harvest their own coral from the ocean and at the same time they are destroying the surrounding coral. They are destroying more coral then they are taking. Sorry for making a big fuss.

IMO the greater danger is when hobbyists "return" stuff to an ocean from which it did not come, and is not native.

That's a great point. I think it's 100x more detrimental. I didn't realize there was that big of a problem with hobbyists trying to take things from the ocean. :thinking:
