is this a good deal ??????? im buyin an aquapod 24 gallon from my lfs it already has everything with it he's takin the live rock/ sand/water fro his own tank and he is going to come out and install it it comes with all filtersetc. and 70 wat mh he says i can grow all corral in this but i dont think so...... anyway the total is 699$ for everything
alsso do i need to cycle it if he is tackin cured live rock water from his own taanks and live sand from his own?

Well when I bought every thing for my 24G I spent $450 w/o MH's. So with the extra $ that you are putting in there you can find a better MH, like a 150W, so you can actually grow just about any coral.......(with in reason) If you aren't looking at getting SPS Corals, you could probably get away with those MH's .........Maybe a bit on the pushing it side, but I would go with the 150W if it were me...... wait I just did!!!!!!

Do you know the break down of what he is charging you per thing??? That might help alot!!

its 400 with out instilation water live rock etc. the 400 includes tank pumpes lites etc. ty for ur reply

400???? I can get a JBJ 24 nano (lights, Pump, hood), $169 stand $95 and that is compleate set up, Heater $25....... 300, why is it so much???? Are you talking salt, hydrometer, tests, stuff like that too?

If you are using WATER, LR, and Sand...... you might have a good chance not to Cycle, if you do it should be small!!! W/O the water.... you will cycle!

I have alot of people tell me they like them better.... but I think that it boils down to personal choice! I got it at my LFS, and it was $165........ If he sets it up for you like that will you have Extra salt to do water changes..... will you have tests, to know if you are done cycling....... I personaly dont think it is a good deal... but I could be wrong!!!
