hockey and soccer are contact sports so therefore smart teams carry "thugs"/enforcers on their teams to protect their superstars. most of these guys off the ice/field are actually great guys with no crimal history they are just big men who get trust into this role and except it because it is the only way they would be playing a professional sport.
basketball is not a contact sport, it is a finesse sport which sometimes has contact i.e. taking a charge thats it therefore there is no need for people to be thugs unless they truely are or they are just TRYING to act like one.
oh and i wouldnt call that a punch. if you want to see a punch watch Derek Boogaard from the Minnesota Wild fight. he has already caved in some guy's face this year, i think he playes for LA i dunno check it out on video site or something if you want.

Basketball is a contact sport, yes it is more finesse but bloody noes', elbows, pushing, etc are a part of the game. The game is physical, especially here in the USA. But take baseball for example, how many fights do you see go on during the course of the season? Probably, just as many as basketball and this sport has no contact!!! In the last year I've heard just as many bad stories in other sports that were really worst. What about that hockey player that hired a hit man, the baseball player who hit the umpire with a bat, the baseball player who allegedly killed someone in South America somewhere or whatever, the hockey player who just hit someone in the face with a stick.... I could go on and on....it just seems to me that there are some bias.

Your right, It is his 4th year, becuase he came in with, WADE, BOSH and JAMES. OH and im honored, your first post and you felt it needed to be in this thread to correct a simple mistake? lol :hilarious And you must have me confused wih someone who cares about what YOU think about the validaity of MY opinions.

Wouldn't it just have been easier to say "Wow, do i feel stupid for correcting someone and still being wrong about something so simple!" ?

Im glad someone finally said jason terry. I hate that SOB. and carmello isnt even a thug. he just thinks he is. did you ever see him on punkd? Im suprised he didnt call his mother. I wish I had respect to lose for the guy.
And Tim Duncan does no more ref arguing than the next guy. Thats why they had to instill a new rule, league wide might I add.
