It really makes a ton of flow, especially with the surface skimmer. I had xenia in the tank, but there was nowhere in the tank calm enough for it to really look good and pulse so I took it out. FREE xenia in Philadelphia if anyone wants it! Pick up only!

I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in keeping corals that desire high flow because it is certainly all you need in a 12. I only have a Maxijet 900 in my 24 and it does fine.
:joy:

looks great bigpete. one questions about your sixline wrasse. does it come out and swim regularly or does it hide alot? im planning on getting another fish for my 24 since the only fish that actually is out in the open is my goldband maroon.

he swims around all day but he does hide when i come close to the tank. after a while he comes out again. some days i dont see him at all, which is bizzare. i would highly reccomend a 6-line. adds alot of character to the mini reef.
just a heads up though...my percula HATES him. they get along fine until the 6-line gets too close to my clowns frogspawn. but my clown even bites my hand when i moving corals around...maybe hes just a angry fish. im just saying because i know maroons can be MEAN. should be fine in a 24 though.

Yup, I live in Alameda. I just went there today and picked up a frag of the same zoos I see in your tank. I believe they're called devil's armor, similar to armageddons.

no i got rid of the bio balls as soon as i filled the tank up with water. i replaced EVERYTHING with live rock rubble. i only have the 3 sponge filters. as for the lighting, i switched to 70 watt MH. thanks for the comments!
