In my 55g I have
5 chromis
1 six line
1 scotter blenney
1 yellow watchman goby
1 ocellaris
1 sebae
1 condy
2 brittle star
1 sand sift
1 cleaner shrimp
2 shrimp (other)
10-15 snails
10-15 dwarf hermit
2 flame scallop
1 cucumber
5 nitrate clams
1 decorator crab
This seems like alot but most of the inverts are on many sites cleanup crew packages.
Is this too much and would I be able to get a small angel or a tang?

As far as inches go, he would already be overstocked. But none of those fish is a huge mess maker or trouble maker. I agree with NM, you could maybe do a dwarf angel of some sort, but no tang.

Just fish, but that rule is useless. It all depends on how messy the fish is, how much open swimming room it needs, how aggressive it is, etc. By the way the rule refers to ADULT size of the fish. Chromis get to 3"+ eventually, so you would already be overstocked going by "the rule".
