Bio-starter

What happens if you use a bio-starter and have fish in a FO tank? Any suggestions?

Bio starter will do nothing but possibly raise the ammonia when it dies off. Your tank will only support as many micro organisms as it needs. As you add fish the ballance is thrown off,and more organisms are formed to regain that ballance. If you add them when they are not needed,they will die off. No harm is done unless the PETA people are protecting micro organisms now. STEVE
