I am running a Biocube 29 and recently purchased the 4 extra white LED light bars for it. I was thinking this would increase my lighting making my ability to have different corals better. Currently I was running my Actinic light for 2 hrs then my white fluorescent would come on (with actinic still on) for 8 hrs then the white fluorescent turns off leaving the actinic on an additional 2 hrs and was leaving my moonlight blue LED on 24/7. When I ask the guys at my LFS about my white LEDs they told me they are just "spotlights" and will do nothing extra for my tank lighting. Is this true? If so, should I just remove them so I can continue to run my blue LED at night or is there any advantage to having them?
