Is there much of a difference between the two any pros and cons? Also how much would it cost total to set up one of these systems?

dont think theres many pros and cons, its just which one youll like best. i didnt like how the aquapod had a cheap stand, and i liked the way the biocube looked. the biocube has a way better stand in my opinion.
the extra gallons in the biocube is good too
factor in the cost of the tank and stand then look up how much sand from your lfs might be, maybe like 10lbs or something for a small tank, plus how much itll cost you for live rock.. usually about 1-1.5lbs per gallon, its up to you though on how much rock you want.
people usually end up modifying something in the tank like the pump, lights, cutting something to have more flow, or peeling off the paint in the back to make the back compartment into a refugium by adding a light to the back of the glass on the tank

I just started to do research on these nano tanks. Seems there are three main brands out there in the all-in-one category. AquaPod by Current, BioCube by Oceanic and the NanoCube by?. From a cursory look at a fish store the BioCube has a slight edge over the Nanocube, in size and overall look of the hood. But what do I know?? Also, the Biocube has a better looking stand. It would be great to hear the opinions of people with experience with these.

If there is any question as to which nano system is the best, all I can say is that a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are 2000 words worth:

29-Gal Oceanic Biocube (03/31/07)

29-Gal Oceanic Biocube (10/06/07)
See my profile for fish and coral stocked in this tank.

Do you have the stock lighting in your tank? I am wanting to get a 29 glalon Biocube, and am wondering how it does with mushroom, polyp, zoos and other corals.

Another endorsement for the BioCube, although I have no means of comparison. Although, how could I be mad when I got the tank, 20# of LR, $200-300 worth of coral, and cycled water for $150!!!

Yes, I use the stock lighting. I have great luck with everything I have put into it. Just not the hard corals.
