Not sure about a copperband in a 44 seems a little small to me, and be aware that some copperbands do nip at polyps and featherdusters. Espcially since you have a YT in there (most people will tell you the YT will outgrow the 44 rather quickly).
As far as a wrasse-
sixline, fairy wrasse, some of the flasher wrasses.
What about a royal gramma, nice sized colorful fish for your size tank.

Skip the yellow tang and copperband and just go with the remaining four; those two need bigger tanks, it's not about the bioload.

What happened to that other tang
you recently got from that lfs for that damsel? Did you trade it for something?
Agree with Viper, you got enough even without the tang.
Please stop trying to get people to tell you to add more fish, people have told you a lot that you are overdoing it. I'm not trying to be mean, but seriously enough fish.

We have told you to go to a different LFS. Copperband SHOULD be off the list. Yellow tang to me is fine for now if it's small, that's MY opinion!!! However it WILL outgrow your tank eventually, so have a plan to have it moved to a larger tank. You should look into green chromis and clowns, even fire fish. Decide the ones you want from that list. The bigger fish is out of the question for you! :happyfish

Then get a bigger tank!
Large fish belong in large tanks. Small fish "gobies and stuff" belong in small tanks.
Sorry, I don't believe the LFS took back their mistake without giving you any credit. The fish died, did it not? How is your anemone doing?
Shista, you've been given an enormous amount of good advice from some very patient people. Pretty soon, however, you're going to become the kid who cried wolf.
You have to decide whether you are going to be a hindrance or an asset to this community and hobby.
You can't defy all the known laws of Biology, Physics, and chemistry and expect to succeed.

Tangs are open water swimmers and DEMAND lots of swimming space. FOr a yellow a minimum of 6 feet is required as an adult.
The requirements for tangs are often misunderstoond by the hobbyist.
Unless your current systyem can house the tang to adulthood...you should return or move to an adequate system.
Plans to upgrade can change and the animal is left to suffer. I am unaware of any magical formula that can calculate the exact time to move a tang to a larger system BEFORE stress hits.
Once stress sets in it is often too late to move the animal to an adequate home.
Finding a suitable home is more important than a store credit.

Dude this is the most you should have.
yellow tang
GS maroon clown
yellow tailed damsel(will get rid of if too much bioload)
sixline wrasse
skip the angel and the royal gramma.
Get rid of the damsel (good luck catching him) add the gramma until then get a sixline and hope for the best. you would be better off to forget the fish and start working on your reef if thats what you want. I have a 75 reef and only have gsm yt damsel, a dom damsel, and a mandrian. My tank has been up for over a year. I don't know how old you are or if you have A.D.D. or what but you should read the response to your post and then read your response. We are not you momma kid you can't change years of experience.

sixline wrasse...
I don't know how old you are...
Profile says he was born in 1986.
I'd even change that list.
Tang needs a bigger tank, and a Maroon Clown gets big and can be one of the more aggressive Clowns.
Shista, please get a good book on fish, such as Michaels' "Marine Fishes.." This will help you SOOO much in understanding the relationships among different fish

IMO thats to much of a bioload unless you have 2 enormous canisters on it but then your fish will be stressed because of swimming space. I think you need to find another LFS and trade in the yellow tang because they need big tanks. ALSO in this hobby it is hard to straddle then line between and FO tank and Reef. You want to have corals and also a lot of fishes in a small tank. I liked the fishes and did want to go reef because it would be cool to see them swim in their "natural habitat" but I was done because of the sticker shock. You need to stop adding fishes and get rid of them. Your fish list has the same size and amount of fishes as mine....do u wanna know the difference...my tank is going to be 2 times the size. This is mine in a FO tank. 2 clowns, long nose butterfly, yellow eyed tang, hawaiin white spotted puffer, and maybe an Eibli flame angel but I don't wanna overstock. I'm getting a canister, a UV, and a protein skimmer a month later. You need to cut your fish list in half. If you can try to sell some of the fishes and in turn save the money for a bigger tank or more filtration. You are blowing valuable money and please try to listen. YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE LAWS OF THE OCEAN. The best thing for your fishes is a small reef safe angel or something and a pair of clowns+your corals. I couldn't stand not having many fish but had to learn that more isn't better in turn of fishes. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU
. People on this forum are knowlegable but can't be putting out all of your fires.
