hello i need something interesting to put in a 12 gallon nano that is going to be in a biology class room??? something interesting or eye catching..? i was thinking frog fish maybe?? any ideas?
Corals and fish?
Nano would be limited to certain gobies/blennies and clowns. Angler fish usually require a little bit larger tank, but I've seen them sitting in small 3 gallons at fish stores.
I would go with a deeper/mixed sand bed. Get a yellow-head Jawfish and a green clown Goby.
As far as corals. It depends on your lighting. Zoas, mushrooms, and leathers works in just about any tank.
You must be a boring professor trying to keep your students awake?
yea lol we live in Nebraska lol and its not every day that someone has a cool pet/hobby and our teacher found out and he ask if we would set one up and we were like sure! so we were just trying to find something interesting to stock it with... anyway got any ideas?
If you want coral and reef fish I'm sure we can help you out... you are going to need some sort of heater, filter, temp gauge, live sand and some rock...keep in mind I hope this is for September because a saltwater tank will take 1 month about to cycle and at that point the school year i think would be over for you.

like stated above many biology class have a cute little percula clownfish or a nice goby pistol pair
Oh, I second the pistol shrimp/goby pair. That would make for a really interesting display for the class.
thanks for the info. but i have been in the hobby for 5 years and i know that it has to cycle and stuff... anyway lol i do like the idea of a shrimp/goby combo. i was just wondering if anyone had any cool unique ideas to make it even cooler just at a glance.? know what i mean?
