Bitter sweet...

This morning we woke up to a dead banded catshark.. she tried to get under a piece of rock sometime in the middle of the night and the rock structure crumbled trapping her under it...
we have had her for nearly a year and was a real joy to have. We however dont want to go down that route again, were going to stay away from the sharks and rays until we have a bigger tank that can accommodate them for life.
Our tank currently has a pair of cardinals, one blkwht clown and one green chromis. we also have a big CUC by big i mean our cleaner shrimp is HUGE as are our hermit crabs and mexican turbo snails... our brittle star is typical size. We also have a few corals that can be moved to another tank if this is not compatible with our plans
I would love to add more fish in the future and my husband has been stuck on a dogface puffer since we got the shark but knew we couldnt have it because of her... what are some tank mates that are best suited for a dogface puffer? we understand a chromis under standard conditions would be a dinner for a dogface but the LFS near us have pretty small dog face puffers.. what are some thoughts on this?

I never thought I would be so upset when I saw her pale little body
totally devastated and even told my husband i was ready to destroy the entire tank and get rid of it all... but reality sunk in after he reminded me just how much we already have invested. We have had no issues with our rocks at all up until now, she even had tunnels under most of the rock that was down to glass and didnt have any issues.. it certainly came to a shock to us. Now our tank looks emptier then ever..
