Black Algae ???????????

I have a small patch of what look like black alge growing on one of my LR, what is it ive never seen it ant place before so i dont know if its bad or good.
any guesses

is it slimey? growing in a patch .. its probly slime algae which is bad you mite want to check your levels and phosphates also..

you have to let us know if it is slimy or not.. this will help determain the problem.. if is, It might be Cyno which is a bacteria. You can cure this problem with more flow and a some water changes.. DO NOT STRESS OUT.. this just makes the problem worse because than you go and do something drastic.. Not good to do that..

OK its a little slimy and comes right off if i scape it with my finger what will eat it will a lawnmower eat that ugly stuff if not then what ?

you should fix the problem with the water get something to remove the phosphates like a protien skimmer dont worry about things eating it get rid of the source but a cleanup crew wouldnt hurt you can order a nice one from this site
