I went with a friend once just to see what it was about. It was ONCE, and I would never go again. I prefer to pay full price for things and not have it so crazy. I can't believe people actually do that sort of thing. I'm fortunate enough to not feel the need to shop like that. I'll pay full price or even double just to avoid the crowds! Yuck!

I have only done it once. 2 years ago my Wife's Aunt came to town and broke my big screen TV on Thanksgiving Day!
I spent the whole Thanksgiving Day researching my new TV and went out at 5AM Friday morning. What a friggin zoo!
By Noon I had my new TV (I only went to one store).
Never again!

I am sort of dissappointed with the sales. I was hoping for some good deals on TV's. Looking to give my Sharp Aquos a break and retire it to my bedroom and get a budget 46"/50" for in the TV room for us to beat on since gaming hours have shot up recently. Lots of deals for 32"s, but for us larger guys there's maybe 1 or 2 per store, but they're bad noname brands.
I guess the hot item this year are the portable car GPS Navigation units. Fantastic

Exactly what there needs to be more of, distracted drivers trying to read/use their Tom Tom's

I went-I saw-I conquered.
up at 3:30-out of the house and at the store by 4:00-Got almost everything I wanted-home by 5:45. I even came home got the kids ready, pick up my mother and was back at the store by 9:00- got more stuff,

Pffffffffffffttt ... A Best Buy in my area had people lined up at 10 in the morning on Thanksgiving Day. Now go figure that out to pass up on a turkey dinner just to sit outside for 24 hrs for the doors to open on Black Friday.
