About 6 mounths ago i noticed a couple of what looked like black pearls growing on some rocks. Now I am infested with them. Can anyone please tell me what causes this and how to get rid of it. I am new at this.

Not sure how they started, but we had to pull (careful not to break them or they w/spread) 
them off the rocks when we got it bad. We now have emerald crabs, which are reef safe that helps keep the small ones gone, and keeps them from spreading so bad. Large ones crop up sometimes and those we just pull out.
