As long as they are both either A. percula or A. ocellarius, you will be fine.
Many of the "black" perculas are actually ocellarius (or "false" perculas) so mixing one of them with a true perc would not work. The "onyx" clowns are just a color variant of percula clowns so mixing one of them with a perc would work just fine.

It will be less confusing if you use the real names.
My understanding is that you wish to pair up a Percula with an Ocellaris. If that's what you mean then I can say that it sometimes works but usually doesn't. It's actually quite rare.
The color morph is irrelevant, what matters is the Species.

and is it worth it for a beginner to take the chance?

I don't believe it's worth chancing it unless you're a fish breeder and have a lot of Clownfish to choose from.
What you can do though is Pair a Black Ocellaris with an Orange Ocellaris. That pairing almost always works and that would be my recommendation to you.

The "Percula" Clownfish sold on this site are Ocellaris but it appears they are sold out of the Black ones.
